I have messed with the gearing calculator but im not sure what is a good top speed to aim for on 4s/5s/6s?
Setup will be 1518 1800kv with majority of runs beings being done offroad with proline trenchers (almost an inch taller than stock) on 4s/5s/6s.
What is a good top speed for each cell count? I am thinking 4s unless I gear high will be weak sauce with the 1518. I am going to buy matched (2) 2s and (2) 3s ******* (probably ****'s) so I can have the option to run what I want.
I was thinking 35 on 4s, 40-45 on 5s and 50ish on 6s?
I am buying all new spurs/pinions...what pitch should I get (mod1)? I am on a budget now (at least got the expensive parts out of the way) so was hoping to buy some sort of upgraded slipper...be it the Tmaxx brake disc or one of the aftermarket 3/6 disc slippers etc as long as it does not break the bank!
Are there any other MUST DO upgrades for a setup like this? Everything else is stock as it sits... I know servo's could use an upgrade but that will probably be later when I gather some money up.
What about diffs/driveshafts? They are going to take a beating and I am not sure if I want to just avoid the hassle down the road and do the LST Conversion? Buying diff internals and driveshafts every 2 runs will get pricey.
