Rear downforce wing for the Rally

Hi all,

I just installed a rear wing to my Rally. How do you like it???

I will post details of how to install your own.... it is not that hard!!!

I haven't tested the wing in the road ... since I am sick for 2 days now... so I don't know if it really improves the grip of the rear tires or if it needs some adjustments to the angle of the wing. Also I do not know if it is durable enough to roll-overs!!!!

the size is ok but it really needs to be a wing without holes. as that wing only has a small amount of down force. you could try and tip it up a bit but it might start to just slow the car down.

I think it looks good... the Ken Block wing looks more realistic but its not bad at all... looks like you just used a plate of aluminum bent in an L shape... great idea.

Yes ... I suppose I have to find that sweet spot....

Actually I used a piece of a plastic card (credit card size). The reason for that, was to take advantage of the flexibility and strength of the PVC material of the plastic card, in order to protect as much as possible my wing during roll over impacts with the ground....

The following pictures should be quite enlightening of how the card was used to mount the wing to the body:

cool! It's simple, adds bling and downforce. I may use this idea for a wing for touring racing my rally.

Really nice wing.
I happened to have the same idea as I was finding the backend of the rally too insipid.

I wanted something bigger and decided to adapt à wing as large as the body, exactly 185mm.

Started making à cardboard prototype, then a pvc card version to validate the body attachment.

and finaly I found an existing alloy wing from a generic brand.
Here is the final result

when testing push the rear of the car down. as the angle will change a lot while at full speed.
