they ARC 28-48 models and the leopard 2845 models will both also fit and give almost as good performance at about half the price of the castle ones.

I have not heard much about them. I have read all pretty good things about the neu though..Im more looking for the torque insted of the topend..not looking to do super sonic speeds with my merv.

have you tried looking at the castle creations 1/10 mamba max pro+5700 system? towerhobbies has it for 195.99 and you get a good discount if your a supersaver member i think, i'm not so not too sure.

The neu motors are hand built to order. That's why they are so expensive and you can't find one used. I personally run a 1112 1y with a mmp and love it. I would really like to try a castle motor but money a little tight right now but I will eventually.

I have had the neu 1112 1y and the arc, I love them both...the neu runs slightly cooler but the performance is so close that it doen't make a difference, either isnt as fast as the hobby king red motor but the are way more efficent, the neu and arc power band is very very very smooth and predictable

Is there a noticable differance in the performance between the arc and the stock velinium? And the hobby king red?

Speed wise the arc and neu are much alike just more controllable top speed wise the red motor, long term you would want the arc or nue, if cost is an issue get the red motor and the arc the will cost less than one neu

i wouldnt waste my time with the hk red......

there is a difference between the 380 and the arc..... it isnt huge, but the arc stays cooler.... the v380 is pretty fast, but it heats up fast too

Without setup details thats a funny statement

What kv were the motors tested ?

    What batteries were used ?

    What gearing was used ?

Did you data log any voltages / current measurements ?

If all of the motors have a similar kv rating then the Neu would have the ability be faster and more powerful (via gearing) while still remaining ok temperature wise

    Cheers

Dont really understand what you are trying to say then

Higher kv = higher speed...............Which motor did you expect to be faster if they were all geared the same ?

Point is the Neu (and the ARC) will give you the ability to gear it faster without heat issues or the motor melting

Gear them all for the same speed and see which one runs cooler

Which one pulled the most amps ?

    Cheers

I know for a fact the neu runs cooler, I have all of the motors I mentioned and several other ones but with the same gearing that was used on all of the the cheapo motor was faster, that was the only point I was making, not trying to get into which is best, because we all know the better quality one is going to be the neu that I had to wait 2 months to have made
