Fans do work well at keeping temps low. Just keep in mind that from my experience I feel fans on off road RC trucks just do not last as long has they would in other applications and need to be replaced some what frequently due to the beating they take.

How are you having heat problems in january in the midwest? If your motor is hot now what happens this summer?
When Boy When, Are You Gonna Get Your Act Together
i had the fan on my other vxl esc and it worked great. i also had a FLM tranny on my rustler and it kept the motor down 30° less then the esc, till i put the fan on!
Are people only having heat issues and esc problems when using 3s lipos? Are there any known problems from using the stock battery or a 2s lipo?
Does Anyone know if this would fit the stock velineon?

ha! thats funny i have the same fan on my motor and yes it does fit!! and you could move the fan in any spot of the sink! oh and its a pretty good fan to it moves a lot of air past the fins!!!
Disco! I just ordered Both Fans. If Everything falls together I'll get my esc back at the same time as the fan comes in!

I dont see the one with 2 fans fitting. I got the one with one fan on my 4x4 Pede and i had to reroute the wires to make it work.

Sorry if I sound confused, but im talking about the ebay listing you posted, because the heatsink in the picture had 2 fans on it.

Ya I got the single fan one and it reaches the receiver (by the hairs of its chinny chin chin!!) Be careful though, its only a 2 pin connector so make sure red to red, black to black! You cant plug the integy one into the esc anyway because the esc an plug and the integy fan both have male connectors, so plug the heatsink fan into the receiver and the traxxas esc fan into the esc.

wouldn't that overheat the fan motor on the heat sink because of 6volts going to it?
Naw, most of integy's fans are either 6v to 8.4v max input.
http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXNPH1&P=7 looks quite similar to the one on the single heatsink w/ fan.

need to get a new fan mined shorted ): try to cover the electronics with liquid tape because they are not water proof
that fan comes with a female connector with pigtails so it could be attached to the ESC wire , thats how i had both of my fans run! i had the traxxas fan and that integy heatsink on the motor with the female connector tied into the ESC plug. i wish i took some pictures before i sold it!
Its just easier to plug it into the receiver than have to solder stuff.
BTW would THIS castle motor fan blower work on the vxl?
