    series or parallel???

what are the differences between the to ?? i know that one gives you longer run time(mah) but does the other provide faster speed?

    thanks

Running your packs in series adds the voltage of the two packs together, which (if your esc can handle it) will result in much more power! Running the packs in parallel, you are doubling the capacity (MAH), and will (about) double the run time.

Simple explanation: series means you are putting the + and - end to end and adding the voltage but it stays the same capacity. In parallel you are connecting all the + together and all the - together which will keep the same voltage but raise the capacity.
For example, put four 1.5 volt, 500mah batteries together in series and you get 6 volts of power and 500mah. Put them in parallel and you get 1.5 volts and 2000mah.

Great pic right there... very helpful in understanding how it all works. That should be stickied somewhere.

another thing with running parallel, your amps jump by 2x
two 2s 2200 30c packs in parallel give you 132amps cont.
much easier load on the batteries this way, and they will run cooler

What speed runs can you get on lipo power ?? Do you think they will come out with a 1/10 scale ?? Will 3s fit with mods ??

Guys are getting close to 60mph with no mods on one 3S pack. SPC Makes a 3S pack specifically for the mini platform. They fit with no mods and are excellent batteries. If your thinking about going 3S, get those ones. I think theyre like $22 a pack. I have 2 of them and they are amazing.
