    My take on the Backbajr(pics)

So I'm bored and while I already tossed this up on URC I figured I could do it here as well. This holiday season was pretty good for me as I was able to set aside some money for the Slash without too much grief from the wife. New parts go like this

    Mamba Max Pro
Speed Passion Cirtix 4000kv sensored motor
    Rpm front bumper
    Jconcepts Bajr body
    HPI H3llfire wing and mount

Put that all together with everything else my Slash already had and you get this:

The wing really finishes that body off.

what gear case you running, i want to go with a aluminum one, but still want to keep my rear bumper, it's a rpm so i need all the mounting holes, yours their would be no place to mount the bumper, but gets a ton of airflow it looks like.

That's the Venom case with the Proline rear skid. The case does not support the motor side of the bumper mount. In my application it's not a big deal, I ran a long screw through the gear side of the case, through the motor side of the mount and it braced it perfectly. However with the added leverage of a rear bumper it wasn't perfect, I would have needed to do something to further brace the mount.

Your are correct tho, the airflow is amazing. I don't have temps of this motor I have now with the plastic and aluminum case but I do with the Velineon I ran before. Geared 14/56 my Vxl would be max 130 degrees after a 5000mah 2s pack with the plastic case. With that venom case and roughly the same ambient temps the motor barely topped 90!

I've gotten to run the truck a bit now and man it flys. Nothing new there in regards to the MMP, everyone knows already that it's pretty much the best thing going. However this motor from Speed Passion was a bit of an unknown quantity and all I can say about it are words that aren't allowed on this board. It's unbelievably smooth and fast. Even with punch control on and the slipper 1/4 turn out the truck still squats hard and lifts the nose off the line, then it rockets off the top speed at quite a clip. No radar so I don't know an exact speed but it's faster off the line and more top speed then the Vxl was, I have it geared a tad higher then my Vxl yet it still runs considerably cooler. I'm geared 14/54 and all signs point to me being able to gear this thing to the moon without seeing a lack in torque or temp problems.

Protrac kit yes. Yes those are the stock driveshafts. I had Jato driveshafts on but frst time out about 5 minutes into a pack my new motor ripped one of those shafts apart so I tossed my stockers back on until I get 4wd shafts.
