7.4v Lipo V.S. 9.6V Nimh

I was wondering what would have more power in the 4x4 Pede. I know the lipo has less voltage but it will hold that voltage for a longer period of time in comparison to the Nimh. Any input is appreciated!

I think your going to get more power from the nimh, because of the voltage, I got a 9.6v Nimh as well and its pretty powerful, its a 4600 and it lasted about 25 min of driving the last time I used it

The nimh would definitely have more power, and depending on what cells it is made with it MIGHT hold the power better than you might think. Quality nimh cells like Ener-G do very well at holding their voltage. The down side to that big of a nimh pack is the extra weight and how it effects acceleration and over all handling of the truck.

Thanks for the responses. I already have 1 nimh 9.6v 5000mah battery and i have been running it in a vxl 2wd pede and its insane, I was wondering if it would be worth getting another one or if i should go lipo. ( I bought a Stampede 4x4 roller)

where did you get the stampede roller from and how much was it?

it was on ebay. minus wheels, tires, body and electronics it was 160.
