Hi all!

I'm from Finland and I started this build just about a year ago... The reason why I haven't posted this here earlier is that for some reason I couldn't register to this forum until the recent update. But let's get to the main thing!

The first idea was to make this out of two e-maxxes joined together with some kind of a bridge(sorry, I can't think of a better word) but after chatting with some people on the finnish rc-forum I decided to go with the Revo chassis because I was already familiar with it cause I have the nitro Revo...

I started searching auctions for revo rollers and got what I was looking for. I had luck because I knew a man who could weld aluminium, so I took two revo 2.5 chassis' and shortened them to a proper size.

After I got the chassis' shortened I started working on the bulkheads. I drilled a hole through the back of the rearbulkheads and modified the diffs so that I could run the center driveshaft through the bulkheads so that every tire has traction. And then I crafted a centerpiece where I attatched the gearbox.

After I got the chassis', bulkheads and diffs done I started working on the center piece, which would have the transmission attatched to it.

I decided that I would build a "scale" version of the IAV Stryker vehicle for the car(http://www.primeportal.net/apc/stryker.htm). You can see some pictures of it on my imageshack page... It's not finished yet most of the little thingamajiggers are missing and of course the painting. I will post more pictures when I have it finished.

Other thing which I noticed was that truggy tires or 40 series tires would be too small for this scale which is about 1/6,5 so I ordered baja 5B front tires. I got them today and I gotta say they're quite big compared to the truggy tires! They looked really cool when I was fitting them to the carriers.

I finally got a new set of traxxas 17mm wheel adapters and got the baja wheels on the truck. I love 'em they grip very well even on snow and ice!

I haven't posted in a while because my service in the army has been eating most of my time. Anyway I have been working on the steering system and my plan is to make the wheels after the front wheels turn. I appoligise for my english. I haven't written in english.

I got aluminium bellcrank part's custom made for me but after a few tests it just didn't cut it. The bellcrank moved too little and my "bolt straight to servo" -saver had too loose spring... So when I drove the second front tires would just point to any direction they liked.

So it was back to the drawingboard for me... After a half and hour brainstorming it hit me. Why don't I just use the basic revo servosaver/arm thingy! I did have to shorten the "pendulum" a bit so it would fit under the middlepiece of the car. I also had to lower the bottom skidplate.

It's been a while since I updated this thread. I haven't really made a lot of progress I bought 2,4 GHz radio drilled plates for the wheels from 1,5mm styrene. http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/41/img2249o.jpg/ There's also a comparison pick the tire is next to a 0,5L bottle.

I had enough time in my hands today to make a fronskidplate! Now I just need to make the rear one!

Very crazy project shamer. That thing is awesome and a fun one to watch. What rockers are used on this machine? I wonder how difficult it would be to add a slight hinging action to the chasis somewhere. (up/down not left/right)

I use LT rockers with the standard LT springs.
You could build a up/down hinge right in front of the middle section... My first idea was to make a sort of a extra piece to the middle part to get more flexibility. The idea was to take four short pushrods/turnbuckles/what ever you want to call them and make a kind of flexing bridge which would let the chassis rotate from one direction to another.

Hi guys!

I'ts been a while since I wrote here but it seem's that I'm stuck right now...
I cant figure out how I'm going to get the body mounted so that It's rigid.

If you come up with any ideas I would be glad to hear them! Oh and also I'm going to cover the underside of the body with fiberglass so it will hold up better when taking hits.

Had enough time to finish the bottom skidplate today! Yay!

Now I have a rigid chassis and at the same time I have better chance's to slide over high obstacles rather than getting stuck on top off them because the rear end of the bottom act's like a hook. Here's some pics!
