    New guy with Stampede 4x4

Hey picked up a Stampede 4x4 yesterday and love it. Had it out in the snow today and decided it needed some chains for the winter.

    As it sits now.

Also looking for some lipo suggestions. Ive been seeing them listed from $20 to $150. What kind of brands should I be looking for?

There are lots of threads about this. Id go with SPC or Venom... I wouldnt bother spending any more $$ than these 2 companys cost as I dont really believe you need any higher performance. I also wouldent buy cheaper as I appreciate the warranty and support you get from these 2 companies. Their batteries also fit with only the expansion kit, others may not fit width or length wise.

well if you have lots to spent go with SPC for sure. (i have had bad experiences with Venom)

and if you are on a tighter budget or just don't want to spent too much money on battery (like me) i would go with ***** ********* 5000mAh 2S1P 20C hardcase pack

Another vote for SPC, great batteries, very good price, and outstanding customer service.

Had it out in the snow today. Around 3-4 inches on the ground and still coming down. Supposed to get up to 9 inches. The stock battery sure drains down quick in wet snow.

that looks super fun! just make sure once you get lipo to balloon them or put them in a plastic bag and zip tie the end of the plastic bag around the battery wires (make sure the plastic bag dose not have any holes in it)
