Fun day of snow and mud bashing, but.....

These are pictures of my Stampede 4x4 after a day of bashing. It is stock with a Elite 7 cell 5000 pack. I highly recommend this pack to ANYONE who wants more power and not wanting lipo. I am buying a 8 cell 5000 hump pack arranged to fit in the battery tray from Kershaw Designs this week probably.

Are there any different 2.8 tires availible that are more meaty than the talons? I mean don't get me wrong, the talons are great, but they just aren't the ideal off-road bashing tire. Does anyone have any suggestions on these?

Now, for my main question I have been running this truck everyday now for the past 4 days outside everywhere it will run. I completely took it apart last night night and put grease in the diffs cause they seemed to be making noise. Well, today after running it, it started making the noises again. I'm not sure what is causing it? Any one have any ideas?

I will be posting a big wanted ad for Stampede 4x4 stuff right after I finish this post.

THANKS!! Any ideas on bigger, more meaty tires? Also, I'm looking for a body. Preferably a Dodge, but I will consider others.

The best 30 series tires and wheels for running in the snow (and theyre great in the dirt also) are the 30 series badlands from Proline on a set of 30 series torque rims. Youll be blown away by how much traction you get with them in the snow.

Check out the Imex J-7's. Bigger,Meatier, Badder. Awesome in the snow! Just got to run them for the first time this morning:

If you do get these, you will need to tape the insides. The tires are very soft and will balloon like crazy! I used gorilla tape.
These tires are heavy, so a conservative slipper setting will help keep drive line parts from wearing or breaking prematurely.

Would this be a good deal?? They seem skinny like an sc tire? Are they?

The badlands are an amazing off road tire. I have them on my 2x4 pede and work great. As for the deal it's not that great of a deal but it's ok. I bought mine off pro line and you can get discounts on them too

does anyone know if I can get a discount on these? Also, I know it says the tires is over 5 inches tall, but is it as wide as the stock talons or are they skinnier? I would like to be able to mount them to the stock all stars if that is an option. That way I could save a little money by not having to buy more rims.

That's what I'm planning on doing once work picks up at my job and I get a little more money. I think I have fully decided on the 30 series rims and badlands tires. Now just kind searching for a middle 70's Chevy body since Pro-line doesn't make a dodge one for a Stampede! Curse you Pro-line!!

I'm kind of looking for some lipo batteries now. I am getting 2 2s 30c 5000mah win force lipos with a crawler I just bought. Are those a decent brand? If not, what is a decent brand, mah, etc?

Well, I am also racing a 2wd vxl stock slash this spring at a track nearby my college and are venoms probably the best bang for the buck as far as an all around battery? I just want something dependable with decent power (I really don't need 3s power as bad as I want it)
