Exclamation should I use a Mamba monster on Slash 1 10 2wd, or a Mamba Max???

HI. I have had a long time to consider what brand of brushless system I want to get, a friend has vileneon, and so I know that Is great, but I have heard that Mamba Monster is much better. I looked and found that it was built for 1/8 scale trucks... I also found a close cousin (the Mamba Max Pro) that is for 1/10th scale. Will the Mamba Monster system work on a 1/10 scale slash, or would it not fit. If not, should I buy the Mamba Max??? Does the Mamba Monster come in a 1/10 scale? Thank you very much.

The mamba monster is just a big ESC for big trucks, big batteries, and big motors.
the Mamba Max would be a fantastic ESC for your slash, because you can run sensoreless, sensored, and I even believe BRUSHED motors off of it. It is also very programmable to whatever you see fit.
I do not have one, but I bet there are plenty of people out there who can give you more details.
    I accidentally my whole truck.

yup plenty. i run the mamba max pro in my slash. i use the vilineon 3500 motor with it though. seems perfect for racing. 4600 would be the biggest i would go on a 2wd slash.

i think the 4600 combo would probably be the best all around combo.

Does the 4600 need lipos, or what kind of battery does it need to run

Yeah lipo is the way to go. MMPro with 4600 on a 2s or 3s lipo will be great. Anything higher than a 3s lipo and you won't be able to bash around without overheating it. The battery needs to put out at least 100 amps continuous. 20c 5000mah (20*5=100) or 30c 3500mah (30*3.5=105) should be your bare minimum when looking at battery specs. Sure any kind of battery will work... those minimums will keep your system from frying from weak batteries when you are pushing it hard.

*make sure you get the new 4 pole motor! Those things look amazing!

I think the Mamba Monster is too much for a 2wd, that esc is for big 4x4 1/8 trucks with big 6s lipos, you can run a mamba max is it more than plenty on your truck and cheaper or the sidewinder have you looked the new sct almost the same power as the mamba max and the new 4 pole motors with more torque.

take a look at this thread

I run my slash with the Castle 4600 with a VENOM 5000 mAh 7.4v 50c LiPo. She screams and is still controllable.

I tried a 3S 4600 LiPo 11.1 volt and I couldn’t keep the front wheels on the ground she has so much power. To much for my Slash so I just run 2S LiPo

i ran spc 2s 20c 8000ma in my slash with that combo for the longest time. i would get around an hour or so of run time. here is the link. http://www.specpointbatteries.com/in...p?productID=61
those are soft case lipos however. i had to switch to hard case lipos for racing so now i run ***** 2s 30c 5000. i cant give you a run time because i only use these for racing. but they give me 3-4 heats.

I run the Castle sidewinder SCT with the 3800kv motor, and the venom 5000mah 30c lipo. Tons of power, speed. I get around 45 mins. of runtime with the esc turned down to 75%. 100% is too much for my track. My buddy runs the MMP with the 4600kv with the same battery as mine. He gets about the same runtime, but he has to watch his temps alot more than I do.

I have a Mamba Max Pro and I use it to run my Traxxas vxl motor and it works fantastic. I also swap in a 17.5 Trinity duo2 for racing in the stock class and thats also a good combo, but it's a little slow compared to the vxl motor.

I also have a couple Castle sidewinder/4600 combos and I really like them too.

If you're not a great solderer, the Venom lipos are a good choice because they come with the traxxas plug. Many of the cheap lipos you see online require a connector soldered on.

I run the sct combo on a 5000mah 30c. Tons of power, low temps. I like it better than my sidewinder 4600.
