    27mhz to 2.4ghz conversion (?)

Could anyone share what is involved in converting a 2009 Summit w/ 27mhz radio to the new 2.4ghz radio?

    Thanks in advanced!

Buy radio, swap receiver, link, program end points, done. You may not even have to do the latter two if you buy it as a set.

It,s hard to see exactly. My question is if I purchased the older model and planned to put a newer receiver and transmitter is there anything that needs to be done if any?

the model numbers are 5607 and 5610. theres a small difference in wiring for both.the wiring below is from their manuals in jpeg format

the 5607 is the 2.4Ghz model. the difference in wiring between the 2 units is the front / rear diff locker servos or how they are wired from the receiver.the 2.4Ghz has the front / rear lock servos attached directly to the receiver.
the 5610 has a 4 channel diff locking controller between the servos and the receiver.

If I put the 2.4GHz receiver in my 2009 Summit can I program my 2010 Summit's transmitter to operate it? That transmitter would then be capable of operating the two RCs, eliminating the need for a second remote?
