I dont know what the best are but I use the proline beadlocks with bow ties works great for me at the track alittle heavy for racing but all in all pretty nice, I have yet to have a tire come undone.
I believe the only choice you have for beadlocks are the proline split six. I've used them and never had any issues.
Thanks both. I'll get a set of the Proline and try them out.
Proline split six are working well for me. I heard from here the Epic line are not very good
The epic's won't fit as they are 2.2 wheels not the 2.2/3.0 we need on the 4x4.
proline split six beadlock work well for me with proline calibers, but pop off with aka enduros. huge weight difference from single piece rims

I guess I just have bad luck, after my bowties came off about 5 times I glued them on my split six beadlocks! Haven't come off since....
Is this the rim you guy's are talking about that's good for the Slash 4x4 ?

Yes that is the one.
revolt0,
What tire do you think is best for the slit-six rim in low cut grass and hard dirt ?
Thanks
for a basher: go to proline's website and check out the tires under the all-terrain category. the switch tires ( http://prolineracing.com/all-terrain...-medium-tires/ ) are pictured already on the bead lock rims, so i imagine they'd fit well
in my opinion if your not racing then you wont be happy with the tread lifetime of a race tire. they wear out pretty fast for me and i only run at a track, i couldnt imagine race tires giving a worth while performance increase over the all terrian tires when running on dirt and grass, while all terrian tires will last forever

When I do just want to play I have a set of Proline trenchers mounted on a set of split six beadlocks and they work well. Just don't run them on pavement as they won't last long. But for dirt and grass they will be great.
I went with the Trenchers on the Split six rims. All I have to say about the combo is WOW. Very little ballooning, better traction and steering control. I'm quite happy.
Thanks all!

You don't have to use SC wheels though. There are lots of beadlock wheels that will fit a slash 4x4. I do like the fact that the split six has the fewest amount of screws and the single side lock. Who wants to fuss with 96,000 tiny screws everytime you want to swap tires??!!
