    Question stinger motor

    Does anybody know how to distinguish the difference between the standard 540 motor
    and the stinger motor ? I think a standard is in my blast. Are there any code numbers that would help? or any discriptive item numbers?

    i don't know of any way to distinguish the two motors offhand besides using a radar gun to clock the boat. it should be around 17-18mph at full speed. any slower is a stock. and why do you think you have a standard 540 in your boat in the first place? the blast comes with a stinger.

    The older Blast models were pre-Stinger age and came with a stock Mabuchi 30 turn motor.
