All the new generation dremels come in the new cooler colour. The only problem I have had with my dremel is it keeps blowing te bearings every year or so. But I send it back and they replace them very quickly. It has been 6 years and out of warranty and they do it anyway. Just a little plug for em, I love em over there.

Dude, I have two of them, cordless low RPM and the normal plug in High RPM. They are my favorite tool I own. I got the 158 piece kit with the extender engraving tool and the router tool. Mine are Craftsman though. Dremel makes them for Craftsman and Sears sells them for a little bit cheaper. The funny thing is that the Dremel brand only goes to 30,000 RPM and the Craftsman 35,000.

These tools are great and not just for RC. All my garden tools are as sharp as razors, so are my next door neighbors. All my tools are always sharp. You never say, I can't get that bolt off ever again. My wife likes to pick up antique furniture that needs to be refinished and use the tool to strip them and sand tight spots down before we refinish them. All my stereo, computer and television equipment, bikes, lawnmower and so on have my name and phone number engraved in "secret" locations in case they are stolen and turn up at the cop shop or a pawn shop.

I am always walking around the house with it looking for things to use it on

WOW that's a good dremel. I think that dremels is the best tool you can use. It's good for sanding and cuttin. IT has a variety of options you can do with it.

I am not sure what you are asking. The Dremmel comes assembled.

If you are speaking about welding, yes there are tools for that. It depends on what the metal (s) are and the surface area and application. Like for underwater welding you would need magneseum as it will stay hot under water. For our copper leads we solder tin lead on it. For Steel you would weld using a variety of metals depending on the area and strenght of the weld.

Ah, the answer to that would be no. They have grinding tools so you can smooth the edges of a solder ot a weld but nothing that will actually perform the task of soldering or welding.

i have a blue point which is made by snap on tools, I paid thru my nose for this, i got good carrying case and a huge assortment of attatchments, and it had four sizes of chucks, so you can use pretty much anything that is made for this kind of tool.
i wouldn't skimp out on this kind of tool, it will be your last one if you bought a blue point like did, if somethign happens, i get a replacement at no cost at all.
and plenty of rpms, to do all sorts of jobs.

or welding? either way, the Dremel won't do those.
