Angry sport will not turn on

I thought I would do a little cleaning of my sport so I decided to take it apart and clean the body and the some of the parts. When I was putting it back together I tested the remote survos to make sure they worked which they did. So I put it back together. When I got everything back together I tried to turn my car back on and nothing worked. I can get it started, but the remote portion of my car will not turn on. The four batteries you use for the car heat up when I turn it on. Can anyone help and let me know if I burnt something up?

Cool re:sport will not turn on

Well, if your batteries are getting hot then it sounds like you have a short. You need to start at the batteries and follow the wires back thru the switch looking for any cut wires. Most likely nothing is burnt up, just cut and shorting out.

make sure the battery to reciever and switch plugs are all together and in place the right direction, having them wrong will cause this shorting

It's deffinetly a short. I had the same problem with the stock battery holder and switch. It turned out that the internal switch termanals had fallen apart, and it shorted at the switch.

When I realized it was messed up, the batery holder had melted, and encased four of my Sanyo NiCds.
I love the smell of nitro fumes in the morning!

I recomend as a first mod for people with shorts and radio problems would be get a nicad/niMH switch and batt pack for reciever because stock switch alone causes problems and niMH is more efficiant. I ruined the switch first..... so I had a makeshift modification to adapt the new switch to the old pack and it worked quite well.
Meow.... No kitty this is my nitro sport!!!
