Since i have a new spirit and i am a newbie, I really don't have specific parts picked out but....
I want to get...
-Novak Dully/LRP ESC
-Speed Gem 2 (jade??)/D4 motor
-HPI 190mm or 200mm body
-Shocks (if avaliable)
-Dynamite 2400maH Pack
-5 spoke rims
What do you guys think... Is it worth the money... or should i just get another car??

What brand of 5 spoke wheels? RPM? Ofna Slicks are good. get a 200mm body, a 190mm wont fit, i ordered a 190mm Nissan Skyline and it wont fit, the body is too narrow. You dont need a D4 for the Spirit. The Speed Gem2 Jade 15T Quad is plenty of speed and power. i get like 20min of runtime with a 3000NiMh with a Speed Gem2. And Duratrax bearing increase smoothness and runtime.
Yes the Spirit is worth the money. When you get one all modifyed then youll have hours of fun everyday. the 2400 pack will give you about 15-18min of runtime with the speed gem2. i dont know of any shocks yet, i havent found any that fit, for best handleing adjust the shocks to the lowest point on the shock, thats what worked best for me. As for ESC get a Novak Rooster $82.99 at my LHS. For a good servo get a FMA S3550 or Futaba S3003.
Your gonna have lots of fun with The Spirit.
Have any onther questions, just ask or email me

I just got my bearings today from Traxxas, and I'm having a hard time getting the axel through them. I got some N4tec Big Bores for my front, and had no problem installing them, I only had to modify them slighty, so they clip on, on the bottom of them. They work great. Anybody know how to get the bearings on easy? I have one side done easy, but the other is driving me crazy!
Kool man..... but
My LHS said that the dully will be the best ESC to get because of the fact that it has no limitations on what motor you use.. and for 20 bucks US more why not.....
I am not too sure what rims i am gonna get yet.
At my LHS the 2400 and 3000 are the same price.. the reason is that the 2400 has "an extra punch" i am guessing better performence from your motor...
IF i ajdust my shocks to the lowest piont would that not decrease my ride height even farther?? It has trouble getting up my drive the way it is...lol
I'm getting the Dually because it has twice the braking current and alot more forward current than the Fusion and is only $20 more. I think a Rooster has reverse, if you race, you are not allowed to have reverse. Well that is how the races I have been at were like. I recommend a Dually!
The Super Rooster is better.........
Super rooster.. Dully....
Which one... Do they both have reverse??
I want reverse... I'm not gonna race...
the spirit atleast...
What are your plans guys???
Well than it is settled, the Dually does not have reverse, the Rooster does.
if you put your shocks on the lowest setting, it won'tlower the hieght, it will only stifen the shocks
