    Arrow steering probs. . .

    hey every1

    for some reason when i got to turn it makes all these clicking noises and it barley turns. . . i checked and replaced all batteries and thats not the problem.

    please help.

    Your servo gears are stripped. you can buy replacement gears at your LHS, they are easy to put on.
    Rustler: RD Aluminum C hubs, 0* arm mounts, top and bottom chassis, rear and front shock tower, front bumper. Aluminum front bulkhead, Masher 2ks all around, RRP 72 tooth steel spur gear, AE pipe +header, RRP 18 tooth clutch bell.

    lol you lucky...... I completly messed up servo.......... I stripped them slowly till I couldn't turn and it ran into a puddle...... completly ruining steering servo and almost ruining the reciever

    One other thing if you don't want to change the gears get a Traxxas 2055 servo. It has higher torque. It will not strip.

    I had this same problem lastweek! it's your servo gears! there only like 4 bucks on tower hobbies! and there really easy to install

    i went and looked at my servo and the gears didnt look stripped...

    They are! if you listen to anyone it should be me! I went thru the same thing a few days ago and it did the same thing. it goes click click click when u turn the wheel and it wont turn well! trust me there striped! also when i went to install my new gears they didnt look striped but they were. now it turns on a dime and no more noise!.....heres the link

    (P.S. when u install them make sure to lube them pretty good to prevent it from stripin again)

    just a question...are you a noobie to RC cars and do u know them well....are you sure on where the servo gears are??

    Didnt you just get your car like only a couple weeks ago?

    Yes i did! i never said i was an expert but i do know my stuff! There only so much to an RC car if u think about it.

    no im not a nobbie to my car. . . and i kno what u mean and no im not offended.

    and yes i do know where the servo gears are. . .

    just a few mins ago i took apart my whole car to clean it because i went out on a dirt track w/ my friends. . . i didnt have that much problems with steering but i am still getting the gears

    I would recommend spending the money on a metal geared servo. If you replace it with a cheap servo, I guarantee it will break again within a few runs. Get a Hitec 645MG and it will be the last servo you buy. Yes, it is close to $50 but if you start adding up all the cheap servos you will end up buying, it will make sense.
    ICBMs - 30 minutes or the next one is free.
