THE ULTIMATE RACE! 4-TEC and HPI RS4 Rally VERSUS Gopeds!

Sunday I am staging a race to prove to my friends R/Cs are better and faster than they think. I will be running my 4-tec and my friend will run his HPI RS4 Rally. 2 of my friends have gopeds, one I am not worried about cuz he only goes 35, however my friend Tom supposedly can go 65. So is there a way to setup my car to hit 50 with a 15T Q Speedgems 2? All I have is the stock gearing, but my friend might have a higher toothed gear. Thanks, and I will post the results when I get back from the track. Oh and it is just a straight linerace. Its about 500-1000 ft. long. So I think we have advantage cuz they might not be able to attain full speed.

I can't stand those things. I hope you smoke 'em. Use the biggest pinion gear (the one on the motor) you can get, but don't run them to much, the added resistance might fry your ESC. (or MSC.)You may want to try unhooking the front diff to, since you will only be running in a straight line. Less friction for the motor to work against.

Just for the info with the highest gear available according to the manual (30 tooth pinion, 84 tooth spur, 5.96 ratio)and a tire circumference (distance around the tread) of 8.25 inches (Pro-line Rage) the motor will have to turn somewhere close to 40000 - 45000 rpm to reach 50 miles an hour. Don't know what the RPM rating on that Speed Gem motor is. If you can put it on here I can figure out the theoretical top speed.

Hemihead, yeah I cant stand them either, and for the pinion, if I use another companie's pinion I could get higher teeth, whether or not it would fit is a different story but I think it will. And I think I might take out the front diff. and I guess the belt has to come off as well...

i have 2 4tecs one is stock and one is mod. on the stock car everything is totaly and completly stock except for motor,gears,and radio equipment

my stock car has a p2k motor and i have 1400 battries in it and the gearing is 78 tooth spur and 32 teeth pinion and it almost beats my stock car with 3000 battries and a fhantom d4 motor the gearing on the mod is 87 tooth spur and 24 teeth pinion!!!!

One of them might be backing out! My friend tom has opted for a slower form of racing. He has such lackluster faith that he is going to try running faster than my Tec, the go ped was a challenge, this race will be pathetically easy, so I am giving him a head start of like 5-10 seconds.

Yeah, I dont know, this boy is acting all flaky, now he says he wants to ride his bike. Whats next? Probably will want to ride in a car against it. Im probably not gonna race him, I will race my other friend who still wants to go Goped vs. Tec

R/C WINS!!!!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!

Unfortunately I couldnt smoke him with my 4-tec, because while preparing for the race I stripped both of my differentials. However my XXX-T did win, which is half as fast as my tec, so my tec would have annihalated him. WOOOOO! GO R/C!!!
