sounds like both of you are having tuning issues. tunning the low end and the high end needles to get it all working. find the how to section of traxxas and read the tuning section!!!!!!!!!!!

    Indeed.

In fact, allow me to tell you what they are.

Anyone following my posts will know I've been mentioning Tim's mill hasn't been acting real good. And I can't always work on it with him when it is acting up, cuz if I could, I'd be running mine too!

So anyway, when parts that I was expecting to come in Friday for mine didn't I decided to reset his needles today and start fresh.

The carb should have a gap of 1.5mm for the idle setting.

The low end screw: Turn it all the way in and then back it out 1 3/4 turns.

High Needle: Turn all the way in and then back out 2 1/2 turns.

As soon as I did this his car fired immediately....but wouldn't really run cuz it was so rich.

So I just leaned it out ever so slightly (about 1/16 to 1/8) and it would fire and idle.

It was still way too rich as it would bog and all that....but I hit the street with the new Raytek Temp gun and let the engine get warmed up and then started taking readings and leaning it out little by little.

WOW, all I can say is it was running WAY better than it ever did by the time I got the temps up to the right range. It litterally screamed on the top speed, leaped off the line on the low end and was just amazing.

All I can say is that the temp gun proved to be a very worthwhile purchase.

Anyway.....try them starting settings and work yourself to a happily running mill.

Oh yeah.....have you cleaned and oiled your Air Filters?

    Hope this helps.

    Bry,

The low end got a small tweak first to level out the idle.

It was very minor maybe 1/16 to an 1/8th of a turn.

Once it would idle I took it out to warm up and then started leaning out the high end.
