myself i dont have a choke so i remove the k&n which slides off and pump it until the bulb is fullof gas and no air, pull with fingers covering intake so ne or very little air gets in and it fires on one pull, if you have the stock filter then it should fire on one pull also, just choke it to full and once it starts back it off to about halfway, let it warm up for a min or so open the choke all the way and lay rubber!!

1-3 pulls with stock equipment. Then let it warm up for about 30 seconds.

No Choke?Pull the air filter off to start?Use fingers? WOW I have just been described the MOST useless accessory in the world. To beat it all this K&N is not even designed for air/fuel mix.So you got a pretty piece of Chrome. The truth be known the origional setup is far superior. The engine NEEDS to be VERY rich with fuel on a cold start. It is cold and the EXTRA oil keeps the bearings/seals lubricated until the engine warms up.The crankcase seals are easily damaged on a cold start. The extra oil while choked keeps these seals lubricated till the engine reaches operating temperature.

Mine is stock, so all I do is close the choke, pull twice, open the choke, one or two pulls after that and she starts right up. I only do this for the first start of the day. Usually once it's been run it will start on the first pull every time after that unless you leave it for eight or more hours before the next run.
