does the sledge suck? was the pede its replacement. how is it to drive and how is it different from a pede?

Yeah the pede was it's replacement. BUT, you can make it just as good with a little work and time. Just ask sledgehammeru812. He also has a sledge. (mine doesn't work so I don't know much about it)

no, the pede wasnt the sledges replacement, the E-MAXX was. the pede came out in 94 and they stopped making the sledge in 99 so it was not a replacemt. the sledge doesnt handle real good but with some work it can handle pretty good. and some popular misconceptions (sp?) are:

1. the sledge does go just as fast as the pede, you just have to put the same motor in it.

2. you can still get parts for the sledge, just because they stopped making the truck doesnt mean they stopped making parts for it.

and in my opinion, the sledge is tougher, ive put it through **** and back and i dont think a pede could take the abuse as well (but expect broken parts, they are not indestructible.)

The Slelge Hammer is tuff I have 6 and have gave 2 away I am thinking about selling 3 of the 6 I still have / I have had a ped but like the sledge better

Hey sledge head, why do you like them better than the sledge? Does anybody have this problem::=whenever I have written a long post i have to unclick all the little boxes even my sig just to get it to load. I have a dsl modem and this is the computer that is networked. What is wrong? Does anybody else have this problem?

what do you mean by a cookie cuter pede???? I do not hate the pede or like it. It has pretty good handling for a monster truck but i like vintage trucks.

because the guys with the pedes always look down at us because we have old trucks. man that makes me sooo mad. your at the track and people are like "whoa, look at that OLD sledge. i could stomp that thing with my pede!" until they see how it performs and then there like "man that thing MOVES!"

Yeah that is true, but you need those mods. The 5x8's break and rpm is a good brand. Their wheels look great. Um sledge head, what is the best mod for the sledge other than a motor, bearings, and a speedo?

On which Sledge I have 6 / the one wiyh the most mods has relcated batt , ball diff , cvds , nitro ped rear arms and carriers , rc10gr font carriers moded to take nitro ped front spindles , custem front bumper /skid plate , and more

how did you put CVD's on without limiting your suspension travel?? i want to do that to my truck but all along i thought i couldnt b/c it wuld limit the suspenson. enlighten me.
