1 16 with the 1 10 power system good or bad?

i think you could do it
    big block motor mount
    775 motor
    evx-2 esc

mount the evx2 on the rear shell post and mount the motor wear the esc was
i think it would be a good set up for some what crawling plus with the shell space

NO. If you want more power, why not put in one of the close out mamba max/4600kv systems in it

IMO that kind of power would not be suited to what the Summit was intended for. You would be better off doing something like that with a mini Revo set up. Even then it is massive over kill.

The 775 would be way overkill, the Titan 550 might be nice though.

From what I understand, they will be releasing it with the Titan 550 stock.

Where did you hear that? So far the only person I've seen say anything about that on a few forums is me, and that's just me hoping they will lol.

Well, actually, my bad. I was confused. From what I have seen is that the 1/16th rally will be released with the Titan 550 in it. I saw it on the Radio control zone forum.

Traxxas was showing the Fiesta at IHobby with the 550 titan and said the motor mount would be available at the time the Summit, Fiesta and mustang where released in Jan.. I asked specifically about a 550 powered summit and the Traxxas guy just smiled and said it could be an option..

I thought brushless was the way to go. What would be the advantage of having the 550 Titan in this vehicle?

It's 100% waterproof... You can't do this with a brushless system...

yes you can make brushless water proof i have seen people do it to mamba monster 2200kv combos and put it in there full sized summits, all you have to do is plastic dip the mamba monster esc and the motor is already waterproof. or you could just put the 1/10 scale vxl in it
    1/16 revo
    slash 4x4
some more but they wont fit

Sure, everything is possible, but it has it risks... And, according to Traxxas, the MMM is not waterproof... But, if you're willing to burn a $300 brushless system, go ahead...

The reason people want a brushed option for the 1/16th isn't about it being waterprof. It's because brushless motors cog at low speed which makes them bad for crawling. Brushed motors don't cog at low speeds and are great for crawling.

You do realize that ALL of the 1/16 vehicles are waterproof right?

I want the 550 because of the ridiculous amount of torque it makes. This thing is not a crawler. No lockers, no low range. It more of a rough terrain off roader or what some might call a rock racer.

Its really more like a mini 4x4 stampede.

Woohoo just watched a video interview with Mike Jenkins and he showed a 1/16 Rally with the Titan 550, so I'm sure the Summit will come with it too.

There's where i'm going with my idea. Throw in a 55t crawler motor. Nice slow and lots of runtime. Plus super sweet low speed control...

I wonder how slow it would be. Could always try an 85t motor.
