Sorry to say but the diff housing in the pics before the assembly doesn't look anything like the original bulkheads so I don't know what part it is.

    Hey Krophit.

Nice job on the 6x6 Summit. It looks and works great. I was wondering where you got the rear transfer box thing, that had the two 14t pinion gears.

From what i gathered he made it...nice work and looks like it is meant to go there.we should be asking him about metal diff carriers. As army of darkness said the russians go above and beyond when it comes to modding stuff to make it do what they need

What part are you talking about exactly? The diff in post 23 uses stock parts, he just used the two input halves of the casing in order to create a diff with an output on the rear in order to send power to the 3rd diff. The only non-stock part used in the driveline essentially is the inverter gear used to change the direction of rotation for the 3rd driveshaft between the 2nd & 3rd diff. You can find stuff like that on hobby level robotics sites, I think rc4wd.com might even have something suitable.

Just necromancing some good old Summit build threads to inspire these summit newbies with better ideas than simply bigger tires.

that electric leveling suspension is nice - looks almost alive. I can image a fleet of low rider RCs being marketed. Also has great implications for rock crawlers. Heck both Jeep and Land Rover has the same type systems in there real life flag ship trucks.

Showing all this work in progress, freely giving out drawings, this is an incredible project! People with your talent and kindness are few and far between! I really like that suspension but I must ask - don't those servos get burning hot and drain the heck out of the power source? I've been racking my brain trying to figure out an effective/efficient way of lowering/raising the stock Summit's suspension, but have yet to come up with a solution.

Krallopian - suspension servo is not hot. UP and DOWN position used low power. Mode of active stabilization energy-intensive and strongly affects the wear gear of servo, so it will be used less frequently.
Do international business in Russia in this area is difficult because of the slow postage, as well as a limited operation of payment systems (Paypal), if I understand your message. so this is still a hobby.

Jackson006 - I made a more complicated mechanism to keep a lock on all axes.

    finished my suspension.
left to finish the motor mount and steering

I recently daughter was born , so the work will progress more slowly

This is the most impressive RC project I've ever seen. Looks like it can get anywhere. How much the whole thing weight?
... for the fun of excess!
