    My TRX-3

    Hey Guys,

Well, I got the "vintage fever" and while I'm restoring my Nitro Hawk, I'm also building another brand new Nitro Hawk, a carbon fiber SRT and today I bought a TRX-3....

These pictures are from the seller, I'll post more when I get it...

And, you may see a few black parts, I already bought the white new ones...

    Hope you like it...

    Daniel.

Well, got the missing white parts...

Now, I'll disassemble it, clean it, make it whiter, and put it back together... Will add new sealed blue bearings and electronics too... Maybe, I'll anodize the shocks light blue as they were supposed to be and make a carbon fiber chassis and shock towers...

Man that would look good with my electric Hawk.....

    Keep up the vintage rides!

FWIW,the TRX-3 shocks are not supposed to be blue. You are probably thinking of the TRX-1.The shocks that are currently on your car are correct.

Oh, really? Thank you so much! The only things I'm missing now are the white cups and spring retainers...

    No problem.

Actually I think your spring cups and tensioners are correct also.If you look at the Traxxas pic you posted on your other thread,it shows black tension clips and lower cups with white rod ends throughout the buggy. Your car appears to be 100% original the way it sits.Very nice car!

Hahaha, there are so many different pictures on the Internet with blue shocks, metal gun shocks, plastic shock and aftermarket shocks that I didn't know which ones were the stock ones! Lucky I have you guys!

Before disassembling this buggy, I'll finish the Nitro Hawk first... I have too many on going projects to start a new one... I want to have at least a complete truck on my fleet...

    Thanks!

    Daniel.

Yes, I have! It arrived this past saturday! And, I'm dying to disassemble it and clean it, but I have to control myself...

I want to finish the Nitro Hawk first, then this one, or maybe the SRT project I'm also working on...

After more than a year, the TRX-3 is finished...

I managed to replace 90% of the parts with new ones including both chassis and all white parts...
