Novak Ballistic 550 4.5T with Velineon ESC

    Hello!

I'm having lots of trouble with my Novak Ballistic 550 4.5T with Velineon ESC.
What it does is shuts down as soon as I get to full throttle.

And it does the same with Novak HV-Maxx.

Could be a bad sensor wire (have one on the way home) and could be the motor.
Maybe none of the ESCs can deliver to the motor (Velineon should be able to ...).

So I'm wondering, are anyone of you running a Novak Ballistic with Velineon ESC?

    Thank you.
Best Regards, SwedishSummit (Who isn't an owner of a Summit anymore but for a slash, fail).

    What shuts down ?

The motor ? The ESC ? or do you just lose control of the car ?

Those motors are known to draw lots of amps and many have to run external bec's to stop the receiver from browning out

Trust me, they work just fine. Make sure you have the sensor wire all the way in. You made have to use a tool to help get it in there.

Crusey: What happens is that it just shuts down. The engine just locks down totally and stops the wheel and it slides to a stop. If I release the throttle it will roll to a stop. if I hold the throttle it slides to a stop.
    I hope you understand.

El Sob: Yeah, they should work fine!
My friend has a Novak HV4.5 with Velineon ESC and works fine.
Probably the sensor wire, thank you for your answer.
