I've heard of guys adding weight in front of the front tower, especially on SC10 trucks. Anybody do this on the slash to help the front nose-in on turns?

I have some stick on weights on my truck. Helps ballance it in the air better

The best way to help the nose tuck in in the corners and create a bit of oversteer is to put some toe out in the front end. Start out with 1 to 1.5 degrees, then put the battery forward and you should be fine. Also make sure your suspension is a little stiffer in the rear, that will help keep the front wheels down under acceleration.

I personally prefer a rear weight biased truck, especially in a 2wd Slash..which is why I added lead weights at the rear beneath the ESC. Rear weight biased makes the truck more predictable especially powering out of high speed corners and gives traction where it's needed most..the rear. However you will get a slight understeer, which is why I always use the brake each time I enter sharp corner to momentarily transfer the weight up front and kinda 'swing' the tail.Too much weight up front will make the truck twitchy imo, espeially in a high power BL - low traction condition. However it's all to driving style preferences really..

Myth busted: Blitz is not faster on the track.
Aluminum bulkhead aids in steering and flight charactaristics.
So basically, 1/2 oz up front and 1oz rear weight works good

You can get stick on wheel weights to do it. I used them on my rustler and a friend has them on his bandit. We got a hole box of them from a local tire shop or try eBay.
I'm also considering it for the slash to try and balance it in the air but I'd say play with the suspension setup first if your doing it for handling. Maybe try different springs or shock oil to. Less weight is better in my book so adding it should always be the last resort.

Thanks guys. My 9 year old son uses he truck far more than I do so I'm more concerend with easy to drive than ideal lap times. With the battery forward it turns in better but the back gets loose, with the battery back it pushes slightly. Think I'll try battery back and just a bit of weight on hte nose to try to find a compromise.
