So I'm getting ready for winter. I'm gonna pick up a pair of proline sand paws and rpm revolver rims to put on the drives but I'm not really sure what 2.2 tire to put up front for snow. Anyone have any suggestions?

Really, most tires will do. Some directional ribs will even work. It really doesn't matter much.

Man, on my rustler, I ran 30 series badlands last winter and my truck would wheelie in about a foot of snow on 3S... if I stopped, it would sink, but as long as I kept the throttle on, it just threw hug rooster tails and would wheelie along the top of the snow.
Id go with some badlands on the front and rear... I was super impressed.

Well I was also looking at getting a set of badlands as well. Now I'm definitely getting a set after your endorsement, still gonna grab a pair of sand paws tho

Here is the Panther razors on the front of my rail. I can't wait to get my custom sand paws done. They will be cut and rotated so the paddles line up. This rail will mainly be ran in the snow.![]()

Hende, why not just get a set of paddles that line up without cutting? Just curious why you want to cut up your tires?

i actually have that exact same set-up in the rear lol it works greatOriginally Posted by Federally
i just use the stock wheels up front or some grooved wheels
Yes, I drive an electric converted Nitro Hawk.
I think those skis are the only way to go. I had no luck with my slash in the snow. I had 2.2 mohawks and mohawk SC on the front. Tried about every tire on the rear but had best luck with the panther paddles and proline sand paws on the rear.
It ran decent in less than 2" snow. it would just sink in the deeper snow. I think with skis up front, a light weight lipo battery, and my outerwears cover it might fair better. That should help it float across the top better.
Pay It Forward.
donny, how did you make the skis or where did you get them?
Sweatin' the SMALL stuff!
