    Question 27mhZ and MMM,possible?

I've gone brushless ,the MMM wouldn't calibrate with the 27mhZ ,so I put in a lo$i 2.4ghZ ,but it's only 2 channel .so no locking diffs or low gear .I tried a ferrite ring round the base of the ariel, didn't work, maybe more than 1? Any help is truly appreciated,I want my summit back

The ferrite doesn't go around the base of the aerial (antenna), that would actually lessen your range.

The place to put it would most likely be around the servo lead right near the MMM case. Wrap it through as many times as you possibly can (if you have a 2nd bead, try that too).

I used the MMM with my 27MHz radio for a couple weeks... Was just getting ready to try some of these ideas to lessen the interference to it, but stumbled onto a good deal on a 2.4GHz setup, so I never did get to try much (I was getting about 100-200ft range on 27MHz before glitching would set in).

That radio above sounds like a pretty good deal too, if it's decent.

By all accounts it is a good radio, the switches are perfect for the locking diffs and 2spd tranny.

list of things my local hobby shop suggested was. the ferrite ring in the wires going from the speed controller to the receiver. keep the receiver as far away from the motor and speed controller as you can. and to also wrap the wires from speed controller to the motor around each other. sort of plait them together. apparently that helps keep the magnetic interference to a minimum. I also tried a novak glitch buster. after doing all these things i was still having a problem tho. and ended up with the 2.4 to fix the problem.

For that much??? pretty cheap compared to most other 4 channel 2.4 systems.

either way it would be great if she did come with it.

Indeed, $90 for a 4 channel 2.4ghz radio with an LCD screen and lots of adjustment features is excellent value.

You could get a Traxxas link 2.4ghz 4 ch of ebay for a about $60. The MMM will cause interference and glitches in any AM/FM system which is a very bad thing with a heavy truck and tons of brushless power. Best to just get a 2.4 setup for the least chance of glitches.
