57.6mph on 3s lipos. Bone stock with high speed pinion. Runs perfect, wheelies anytime, 20 minute runs most times as well. Oh, ya I have a large heatsink on the motor and a fan that blows on both....otherwise they get pretty hot.
57.6 mph geared 23/50 ?
Find that hard to believe
Cheers

I will have a very impressive top speed very soon.

My mini E-Revo.net and the BIG ERevo.net
I don't know, that seems fairly reasonable.Originally Posted by crusey_aus
I've recorded 62.4 mph with a mini Revo, 3S LiPo and 31/50 gears. The only other thing changed was shock oils. Other than that the truck was completely stock, right down to the tires, body and AM, TQ radio.

That doesn't mean I wouldn't love to see a video of it :-)
What's everyone using for checking speeds?
Is there a good phone app for this? Could just velcro the phone.
As noted above I use the EagleTree data logger and optional GPS module.Originally Posted by Matrix243
Again, not that far off. I just looked at my EagleTree files and I recorded 55.4 mph with 25/50 gearing. Maybe he had a tail wind or something.
How accurate is telemetry compared to a radar gun? Can you program it with tire ballooning? I'm was looking into going that route with my merv.Originally Posted by Jakey
well i only hit 46.5 with a 26tooth and the other gear was stock on 3s lipos and it is a very heavy merv
it has a very nice but heavy skid plate
o and i coulda got faster but i wrecked and never ran it again
Uploaded with ImageShack.usonly got 42but its really heavy right now its got the roll cage and dual nimh (im getting lipo soon) and the iphone. its geared with the stock pinion and the 55 tooth spur

The 23t pinion on 3S or 4S will get you the same speed no matter what lipo you use, it will hit the rev limiter and get around 49-51mph.
If you run bigger tires its a different story though
Fastest me and my top speed buddy got was 83mph, (not on video)
Fastest on video is 82mph.

so i guess we all got stomped in this^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
insane................................
If the truck is stock and depending upon tires and gearing, that speed sounds very reasonable. Don't be scared away by the silly high speeds that some achieve as they may be putting a lot of time and money into it to do so.Originally Posted by wanaBniceRevo
Pretty cool. I downloaded the sportstracker app and velcro'd the phone to the car. Hit 32.9mph with a couple quick bursts up the street. It also has mapping so it'll show the satellite image and showing your run with speed readouts.
Stock except for a 2s.
How are dirt hawgs for high speed runs? I would imagine better stability and I think a little larger diameter then stock, to increase topend.

yes the dirt hawgs i think are awsome they do provide i wider wheelbase and thanks jakey for the upbrinings of my crushed emotion from over_revo....lol..........but yes i run 3s in my merv i can go faster but havent tried yet
no, the 50k rpm limit is where the motor, jsut cant go anymore
Love how Noobs ask a ?, then say you're wrong
Its set by the esc. if you run a different esc there will be no rev limiter.
