All of the exposed electronics are listed as water resistant, everything else is mounted inside the water proof boxes. I believe it to be quite reasonably water tight. As far as swimming goes, it is certainly not as water proof yet as I would it like to be. but I'm sure I will test it at least once

No, you would not. Because he's using a Brushless motor, it's way more efficient than the stock brushed system - especially since he's got it geared for only slightly faster than stock. I'd guess you'd get about 1 hour bashing, 2-2.5 hours of crawling, though, which is still pretty awesome!

    Well, here is "Big Red"

This is the truck mounted camera. Its made by Swann and was 90 bucks. Its not an hd cam, but it does very well.

    The rear steering setup

The on\off switches for the roll bar lights and emergency flasher bar

    the full back shot

    Roll bar lights

    Emergency flasher bar

and here is all the wires, switches, and a 6-cell traxxas 2200mah batter. Itried to get it all into the gas tank. it didnt work out very well for me. i will try to clean it up later on.

and a shot of the camera compared to the truck

    WHEELS/TIRES : stock canyons 6!!!

Custom : custom 6 powered wheel setup, custom transfer case with inverter gear, custom double sided differential

Comments/ quote : This is my Summit. All wheels actually turning under power. I will make foto report about build .

two rear diffs are on a "Y" harness

n my 6X6 e-revo 1/16 not used invertor gear (gear in the third diff change from left to right - very simply) but in the Summit use lock diff and was additionally problems. Next step - change all CVD to metall and change motor+ESC to Mamba. I few idea about change body... Maybe Tamiya 1/14 King Hauler booth... Maybe made Summit extended from two body

Here's my summit. I narrowed a set of Axial wheels and star cut the foams and put on a set of 40 series Mudslingers. After frying 2 775 motor and losing the LVD on the EVX2 I put in my castle mmm 2200kv system. Here's some pics of my mods.

my oil cooled mamba monster summit ...i like to play in the water previously had 2 wp sc8 esc that blew up in the water so i decided to make my own waterproof container ,,, ive been running the mamba monster since day 1 in this oil filled box , over 4 months now ,the heat transfer is amazing my temp sensor doesn't even reach 110 degrees just hard o get it initially sealed , the mamba is mounted to a big heat sink in the aluminum container which also dissipates heat, have some 1watt lights a winch and GMADE piggyback shocks which id recommend to anyone , these shock have amazing compression nd rebound , the tires always stay planted rc4wd rock crushers on narrow wheels and big joes 2 8000 mah batteries , lots of other mods ,,, btw my summits a little beat lol nowhere near perfect haha

front bumper broke off the night before

How are you liking the brushless? I put my castle mmm 2200kv in my summit and was expecting it not to crawl at all but it does pretty good. Cogs just a little from a stop but still works great. And it's an absolute blast to drive now.

Loving the brushless! Before the castlelink it was just too much power. I toned down the punch, adjusted the power and brake curves and put in 50% dragbrake. All things not possible with evx. I could never go back now, especially with my tim cameron tendencies, its just awesome!

Same way of feel. I turned down the punch 60% and adjust the drag brake as you did, I love it. I'm still messing with the power curves. At first I was bummed that the lvd in my EVX2 took a crap and my titan 775 burned up. Now I'm glad it happened cause I wouldn't have tried out my castle system in it. Awesome!

Here my summit that i begin to build at the end of december 2012, a lot done , but got a lot of work to do on it !

    Some specs :

Name : Ford Raptor Summit Scale ( need to find a real name)
    motor : Ballistic 5.5 550 sensored
    ESC : Mamba Max Pro
    Spur/pinion : 11/72
    Batts : 2s lipo 7600mah or 3s lipo 6000 mah
    speeds : not test yet
Run time : 2hr estimated with most trail and crawl
WHEELS/TIRES : Proline sc beadlock / 2.2 rock crusher tires mod to fit 2.2/3 wheel
BODY : Jconcept fort svt raptor illuzion
    Suspension : Stock long travel

I really love the way Noir522 did on his gecko with the 2 front end that i start mine the same way to achieve my four wheels steering truck !! My goal was to be close to a 1/10 scaler like the honcho and i reach it very close !

other mod , i put proline bumper , hitec waterproof servos in the back for steering .

wheelbase of 12.5 inch and a width of 11 inch !

Not finish , still in project

Don t Go Fast if you are out of Control !!!!

Finally found some axial narrow beadlocks. They're on the shelf waiting for some mudslingers.
Also thinking of getting an under chassis guard. Anybody use those?

    Mine for now

    motor : Tekin t8 1900kV
    ESC : Tekin RX8
Spur/pinion : 14/68(havent tried anything more agressive yet
    Batts : (2)2s lipos in series(8200)
    speeds : 27ish
    Run time : 1 1/2hr - mixed crawling/bashing(estimated)
    WHEELS/TIRES : Stock
    BODY : Stock
    Suspension : Stock long travel
Radio sys : Traxxas TQi 2.4 gHz
    # of lights : stock (10 i think)

Comments: Just got in my Tekin setup and am LOVING it! Not going too aggressive yet because i dont want to take it out of action just yet but i know its inevitable that somethings gonna give. Looking into new tires and considering trencher xs for something a little more hard so bashing is more sliding and such
