Getting slower?

Today I decided to find out the speed with my slash 4x4 with a 6 cell. I used an app on the iphone. It said less than 25 mph. The day before i tried it but the mathematical way. I used the 7 cell. I got the answer as 27 mph. I AM NOT USING THE HIGH SPEED PINION. So am i doing something wrong?

um you were using a 7 cell and not a 6 cell? thats what you said.

No, i mean ive seen other videos that show the speed. a stock traxxas slash with a 7 cell went 31. But mine went 27 and i have vxl. a stock slash with 6 cell went 25, mine went under that.

Look your truck over to see if you are getting drag anywhere. Clean your bearings check your center bearing to make sure it is in good condition. Make sure you don't have any debris between your wheel hex and the hubs. A good cleaning will help the speed.

- make sure your running surface is smooth and flat
- that you have you truck fully lowered
- set the suspension to level the truck and reduce wind drag (trucks sags in the rear increasing drag)
- ensure the wind direction is favourable (although speed records must be done in both directions to be accurate)

ha my cousin and i used a garmin to see how fast his pede was and it has novak havok 10.5 bl and a venom 2 cell 4200mah battery and it sead iwas going around 30mph or somthing like that and he was mad but its his gearing that will get him going faster i think

ya, i have never ran any of my trucks with the high speen pinion cuz i always run on dirt and stuff.

Ok, i just used a different app. I also used my slash 2x4 to see if it was faster. 6 cell= 20 MPH 7 cell= 28 MPH. Still slow, but i have another question. Can run an 8 cell or 9 cell on my slash 4x4 and charge it in a regular nimh charger?

We're all missing the bigger question here; Did you strap your iPhone into your car so the GPS could track it's speed?

well, i got alot more speed with my 5000mah 6cell Intellect than with the 7cell traxxas baterie :S

Yes i did all that and now it says: 6 cell= 20 MPH 7 cell= 28 MPH
