i also pulled it all apart and gave it a good cleaning

i am going to get a new body for it since the stock one is in bad shape

not sure why it posted the same pic three times it was working when i posted it
but here are the other befor pic

thecoolman101 well you cant tell by the out side but on the inside its cracked in the roof in two spots and its crack in the back at two spots and some of the paint is starting to were off were the tires rub and in a few other spots so i put ducted tape were the tires were rubing
and i really want a new body any way
SLASHPEDE i know it could have been alot worse
i just wish i new what was wrong with the esc so i wouldnt have to run that other battery its like the esc isnt sending enough power to the RX when i give it full throttle and it loses signal
you guys got any ideas how to fix this

LOL the before pic looks pretty clean already to me...
Now this IS dirty.. took me a whole day to wash it.

That esc mounting plate would be better off made from non-conductive material such plastic or at least cover it with some duct tape. Just in case a wire(s) is loose, the + and - ends make contact via the mounting plate. Yikes!

Looks like you got a pretty nice truck there. I've bought and sold a ton of slash's and I think you got a deal.

I bought a truck from a guy and when it arrived it was covered in mud and looked just like Outofsights pic. I just removed the ESC and sprayed the whole thing down with a hose. Just make sure you go back and lube all the metal parts and bearing with a drop of bearing oil to prevent rusting.

^what he said^.. wet mud corrodes metal parts pretty quickly, especially when running on 1/8 nitro buggy tracks, because fuel residue left on the track will worsen corrotion. WD-40 works best prior to doing wet runs.

the caster oil will help prevent corrosion

I would ditch the battery on the side and get a CC 10amp BEC. That would cut out the bec in the ESC and take the load off of it.

+1 what lazyboy42 suggested. Link your esc to your PC and see how it's programmed. The previous owner may have changed the settings. Start by changing it back to the default settings and go from there.

If that doesn't work, check for a broken receiver wire. Does your slash have the same problem 6 feet away as it does 100 feet away? If not it may be a broken wire.
