Monster Energy? Really? Man do something from your head. Not something that has been done a zillion freekin times. Pick your favorite 3 colors then get the rattle cans and spray!

theres enough monster Trucks, so Id go with something else. come up with your own design and paint color. dont want to copy something else. you can come up with something that nobody else has done, which will make ya happier and more proud of your truck.

Edit: lol man Moon, me and you are on it tonight haha

I'd rather have a one-color-wonder than one of those themes which has been done so many times. There's no shame in not being able to make a fancy, pinstriped, faded, etc paintjob... but it is shameful to slap on the same decal-set (such as Monster Energy) a million other guys have used.

A one-color paintjob with the windows carefully masked (and maybe tinted when you finish) and good trimming with your body scissors (which is important to reduce cracking anyway) goes a long way. Anything you can do on top of that is just a bonus!

Contrariwise: As long as you don't feel bad when you look at the finished product, anything goes.

rjames did that single color white paint job, and it looks great. I think the black windows really added to it too. Besides, one color is way easier to do.

Jman, don't listen to those guys. I think it's awesome to have a cool paintjob. I do agree that the Monster Energy has been overdone though. What are some of your other hobbies, pick a leading brand from that one and go with that or something, or a favorite beverage (non-energy) such as a cool red Coca Cola with the White curved stripes along the sides so it looks like a rolling Coke Can and paint Coke on the hood. Years ago I did two Pepsi bodys for my Onroad cars. I had a Nascar and a Nastruck body both painted while with the Pepsi Logos on the sides and hood. I'll try to dig up the photos and upload them so you can see how they looked. Be original like others are saying, but at the same time it's cool to make it look like it'd be a 1:1 sponsored type vehicle.

Here ya go, here's a pic of my self made Pepsi RC Race Team. Also, since the American flag has been overdone, you could choose a state flag like my Porsche 911 RC Race car that I painted like the Arizona flag to replicate a real Race Car that graced the Cover of Excellence which is a Porsche magazine. Hope you like these and maybe they'll give you some ideas. Man, now that I looked at these pix for the first time in a long time, maybe I'll replicate one of them for my next body for my Slash 4x4!

Scott - not to hijack the post, but great job on the 911! BTW, what do you use for masking the lines? I used painters tape on my truck, but the lines don't come out perfectly smooth. (The stuff Proline provides to mask the windows of their bodies seems to work great. Not sure what it is.)

Funny you should say that. I'm in the process of remodeling a house I just bought and during the demo of one of the bathrooms we found a steel Pepsi can in prestine condition. It was behind the bathtub. House was built in 1979. Wonder if it's worth any money?

Thanks for the compliments! I used regular old white masking tape (high quality though as opposed to some that are really just terrible), I used my fingernails to really pressure seal the edges. That was a long time ago, since then I've started using liquid masking and a metal ruler for cutting straight lines as long as the surface is flat, otherwise I just use painters tape ontop of the dried liquid mask, then cut along the painters tape edge.

lol nope, but I do remember pull tabs for the first few years of my life lol Oh and I also remember when glass bottles were still actually made of glass, Man those 5 gallon Arrowhead bottles were HEAVY! I can't tell ya how many times I broke the glass 2 liter soda bottles. Those things were disaster in bottle form for small kids trying to pour soda lol
