LRP X-11 5.5 turn?

I just picked up a brand new LRP X-11 5.5 turn brushless motor for a great price, and I have a sensored 150A ESC in the mail. I will be running it on 2S 5000mah Lipo, and the package states the motor is rated at 8,100 RPM/Volt.
My question is, should I even try to run this in my Slash? Can I even gear it low enough to make it useful? What do y'all think?

8,100kv??? That will need alot of cooling and a low gearing. I wouldn't try it. Get a 8.5t. I wouldn't go higher then 6,000kv.

you can pretty much only run it onroad. play with gearing. i would start with 13/86 and pay attention to temps

That will get really hot, anything over 5500kv is hot! As Emaxx said... you would need low gearing.

13/86 wouldnt even be low enough. like 12/90 would still be too high. and even then only on road, down hill, with the wind.

What is the lowest I can gear the Slash trans? I think I saw somewhere a 91 tooth spur, how small could the pinion be with that?

i think you can go to like 12/90. possibly 11 but im not sure on that.
