    Custom Aluminum Trailer

I put this together over the weekend. Came out better than I had hoped. Now I just have to wait for my Blue Titan to get here so I can adjust the bunk height and bow stop. The Titan is going to look pretty sweet being towed behind my Summit... I have a Red Trailer in the works too, should be finished tomorrow.

Nice job on the trailer! It will look a lot better with the Titan on it, though!

Give you can give us newbies a tutorial on how to built your own custom boat trailer that would be great. How much did that cost you to built it? I was thinking about builting one also for the titan.

    Thanks for the compliments guy's.
kouasupra, the total cost down to screws was about $50, the wheels alone were $25 so not too bad. Just spent alot of time fabricating and making 1 off parts for it. Probably have 2 full days work in this thing but it was worth it.

Bug777, here are some pics of my hitch setup. I hid the threaded shaft for wheels inside the aluminum rods to give it a smooth ride and clean look.

Thanks mate. Those axles look really neat. Do you get much flex out of the towbar when you are towing?

Yeah a little flex. Im working on reinforcing the Summit bumper because Im sure it will flex once the boat is sitting on the trailer.
I put that together real quick just to get the Trailer to sit level. I will have a bit of time to perfect it seeing the Titan is on hold for a bit.
I will post pics upon completion..

Love the ball hitch! Wayy cool. I just wonder how it will hold while flexing.

Man thats one big trailer, those talons look small.

Is the frame made out of aluminum?

    Hey Mr.Nitro
The Trailer has to be big seeing that the Titan alone is 36.5" Long not including the rudder that will hang over the back.
The overall length is 41.25" which should seem small once the boat is sitting on it.
Those Wheels are from 1/16 Mini E-Revo, I didnt like the look of the on road wheels that most guy's are using!
Yes, all aluminum frame. The bunks and bowstop are made from wood. This is the third one I have built so its getting a bit easier to make them.

Here are some different colors I made

Here's a pics of the hitch i designed if this helps. It's not supported by the bumper at all. It has the 4 bolts which hold the skid plate on & the 2 bolts which hold the bumper on.

The Red one has longer bunks and the bow stop is mounted further forward. Both will accomodate the 36.5" Titan. I like the shorter bunks on the black trailer but will probably have to move the bow stop. Im just guessing right now until I get my boat from Tower. Adjustments will be a quick fix with the boat in hand.

They do look very nice and professional. From the close-up photos it appears they are 100% screwed together. Should make it tons easier for average folks to make one.

Yeah for sure, Unless you are really good at welding thin aluminum like this without it warping your best bet are some angle brackets and sheet metal screws. Super strong and no flexing at all.
