You can run 3s but the stock motor and esc will heat up.Plus you will break driveline parts on 3s.

I run and race 3S frequently in my Slash 4x4 PE and have experienced no serious problems directly related to the 3S pack, so driving style greatly enters into the equation.

So you never run it at full speed?

I have twisted off sliders and axles on my E-Maxx and Stampede, but none so far on my 4x4 PE when using 3S.

yeah I haven't broken any shafts yet either and mine don't even look twisted yet, I couldn't keep shafts in my 2wd slash with vxl. I am very impressed with the new design. I have broken several other parts on the truck but no shafts....yet......knock on wood.
    more power oh...oh...oh...oh...oh

On 2S I have twisted off more than 20 sets of reat sliders. I have now gone with MIP Xtra Duty CVD's.

I run a small back yard track and jump alot (1-3 foot jumps)

My slipper is loose enough to hear a little slip when you punch the throttle on asphalt.
Always in Trouble for trying to help out.
