    Backslash?

Ok, so I am what you would say "new" to the slash forums not to the traxxas forums...i spend most of my time in the jato forums and 2wd in general. Any who... today I was looking for paint ideas in all the traxxas forums...and run across something odd...a "backslash". And it seems to be a simple traxxas slash with a fitted wing and buggy body, and I am wondering is there more to this so called backslash, are there specific parts requires for making one or is it as simple as installing some buggy wheels and a body? And where or who started it and where did the name arise?
    R/C is expensive...

there is a plethora of backslash build threads use the search function
and im sure you will stumbled a across a few of em
from what i understand its just a slash with 1/8 buggy rims n rubber and a body
    and a wing and i think a jato 58t spur with a low t 32pitch pinion.

The Jang created the original and the term. http://www.ultimatetraxxas.com/projects/backslash/

It's pretty open in terms of construction, but it's essentially a buggy body, 1/8 buggy wheels, and a wing.

    here's mine

Wow it looks great! What do you have to do to make that?

Most of it is just bolting on parts (wheels/adaptors/bumpers) but I also had to cut out a rear lexan plate to mount the wing mount (not in the link) and cut the body to fit the truck.

    @ vxlkid; looks sweet!
@ OP: its basically a electric Truggy now. The ones I have seen appear to run/handle better than stock slash.
I am thinking about something like this for my mini and possible getting a platinum/ultimate to do something similar. A Truggy is the best of both worlds: LCG buggy and 4x4
