Charging AA NiMh

Hey not sure how many people have done this, but i was thinking on getting a battery try, you can get them at a lot of electronic stores and they have 2 wires coming off, I was thinking of adding Banana plugs and using my RC charger to charge all 8 AA from my RX as an 8 cell battery, I can't see why it wouldn't work but I figured I'd ask if anyone has an opinion.

Works just fine and much easier than trying to mod your controller to accept a charge point. (also voiding the warranty)

I have 2 4 cell trays and 2 8 cell trays so that I can charge any combination of my stash of nimh batteries.

I've done sets of 4 or 8 AA's since I got my ICE. I also do AAA's and N's with it. Do you have a TRX Tx or other? I bought an extra Spekkie-style 8-cell holder from ebay and I now don't have to take the AA's out of the holder. I just swap the whole "pack" for its twin.

A word of warning: never, ever drop a freshly charged 8-cell AA "pack" into your briefcase without first making sure that nothing can short the terminals.

BTW, you can use an 8-cell holder to charge as few as one battery, or as many as eight. (Obviously.) It all depends on where you position the clips.
