    Am I missing something here?

I have a TRX 2.5 in an older Nitro Rustler. I'm trying to disassemble the top half of the cooling head so I can get at the piston and make sure it's clean inside. However, the 5 screws holding it down are just completely jammed, and I can't even get it to budge the tiniest bit. I have the correct allen wrench size, cause it's providing me with the resistance, but I just can't loosen it at all. Any tricks that could get it loosened up - sprayed some Liquid Wrench on the sides, but nothing yet.

    Thanks

The first time I removed the head from an engine I needed to grab the wrench with a pliers to provide a longer leverage arm and that seemed to break it loose. The only concern is stripping the heads of the screws so make sure that the wrench is firmly seated and it may be best to use a better quality wrench than what Traxxas provides--probably more of a better fit.

try taking a heat gun or hair dryer and heating it a little this should make it easier to move the bolts. I have used this method before. just want to have a pair of gloves on as the block will get a little on the warm side.

If you give the end of the wrench a rap or two on its end when its seated in the hex fully it may help crack the screw loose.

+1 and you can also try using a heat gun and warming up the block so it expands. It should come out easier then.
