Question utaba S3305 Servo High-Torque Standard w/Metal Gears

Has anyone used the futaba S3305 Servo High-Torque Standard w/Metal Gears? I just bought a slash 2wd at a yard sale for $5.00. This is the servo in it.

Stock slash servo is about .17 speed and 125oz. Torque. That Futaba servo is .2 speed and 124 torque. For racing...it's not good. For just running around it's fine it's just slower than the already slow stocker. The metal gears are a plus. For 2wd racing, I like a minimum of .1 speed and 150oz torque.

I would say it depends on the track and the rate of steering needed.

Me and round run the Futaba 3305 servo in our Slash 4x4's with no problems and like them very much. A faster servo seemed to be almost too much steering for racing these trucks on our track.

You're right Nitro, it is preference and the track. I just like high torque to keep the wheels where I turn them and I like high speed on any track.
El Sob...heck ya it's great for the price!! Have fun!

Thank you yeti as3! Might throw it in my 4x4 just to see how it acts. Seems plenty strong. I drove the 2wd and it has no problems steering. Hey for $5.00 can't go wrong
