Go ahead, look – I Dare you

OK, a corny way to introduce the pictures, but…

JConcepts Dare body. I really like the way this body looks & fits. I just can’t seem to get away from the black/red paint scheme, I wonder why…

Of course, the other problem with a new body is that it makes the rest of the truck look old & beat. Hmm, wonder how I can solve that dilemma

Also, used a piece of the body mold that was cut away to make a servo protector:

And I “borrowed” an idea from fullmonte77:

I used snaps as a means to secure instead of Velcro. Waiting to see how well it works.

Seems like he's done that to accommodate the stock bumper. Wonder if JConcepts has a recommendation to get around that?

The mold at the front does make an accommodation for making a slice to fit better on the bumper, but there is actually plenty of clearance for the rear tires to travel fully, and leaves a bit more room in front for tires to turn left & right.

    Looks impressive, well done.

I'm curious about your technique for masking the red stripes.

Thanks -1” wide masking tape, trimmed with a sharp knife. Spray black first, un-mask, then spray red.

BRP locking body clips. I’ve had the same set of four for months now, both on a Stampede and now on my Slash PE. Haven’t lost one yet

I’ve gone the multi-decal route before. This time I wanted something more understated.

CraigV, do you mind measuring the wheelbase on the body? Center-to-Center on the wheel wells.

    Thanks!
