    Broken Chassis

I broke my chassis and in need of a new one. I have a 2wd slash and would like to know if a 4wd chassis will work or do I need a 2wd chassis. Are there any after market chassis that would be a better buy. Not sure if I want a aluminum one or not... Little help please..... Also I plan on going brushless very soon.

stock chassis is fine..cheap aswell. Try getting the proline chassis saver aswell..i heard it does make the chassis more durable.

4wd will definitely not fit, it's very different.

Both comments are right. Get a stock chassis (about $10 on e-bay) and a chassis saver (about $15) and youll be fine. An aluminum chassis will cost you between $65 and $80 and if you bash hard enough to break a stocker, youll likely end up bending an aluminum chassis anyway. I bash the stock chassis with a proline chassis saver in my slash MT every day with no issues at all.

Just make the chassis saver, it's only a piece of alloy with 4 holes in it.

I love my Pro-Line Chassis saver so far... I paid around 10 bucks for mine and it has done everything advertised. Very pleased... Check the bay for a chassis. Last one I got was new and I paid 99 cents for it. Shipping was 6 bucks but still a great deal.

I busted my chassis as well. LHS doesn't have a new chassis, but they had the chassis saver, so I got it to put on the new chassis. Not wanting to wait to bash I bolted the saver up to the broken chassis and just ran it with a VXL and lipo. Jumps, flips and crashes later, still holding strong! Definitely worth it!

Be aware that the chassis saver doesn't fit if you are using the RPM rear skid plate - it needs a slight modification (drill hole in chassis saver and grind a few mm's of the skid plate mount).
