    glow plug wire

Ok so i noticed in the parts book that you can replace just the glow plug wire. How do you do that.. Do i have to splice or does it just pop out.. I tried and can seem to get the bad one out..

When you buy a new one you get a little tool to do it with and it shows you how. 5 min fix man super quick!

You should see a splise in the center of the wire with a rupper shield around it. Give it a pull from both sides and it should pull apart.

The Jato is new enough that it should have it.

Mine didn't have it so I bought the harness that had the quick disconnect and replaced it. It's major surgery so I wouldn't do it unless you had broken something that require you to take the car apart like hit hitting a mail box post .

Just get a wand and forget the plug. I like the wand a whole lot more and I have the plug as a back up if I forget to charge the wand.

I love my glow ignitor! After removing my blue wire, it seemed to leave more battery for the motor turning as well.

i tought i was just getting a better charge on the battery^^^^ but thats what i seen was happening! and when its priming its not burning up the plug, you just put the igniter on when the fuel gets to the carb and it fires right up!!

I wouldn't call replacing one little wire that's 100% accessible without any dissasembly "major surgurey"

If you don't have the "quick connecter" just cut the silly wire and splice in a new one for gosh sakes!

Major surgery was replacing the entire harness with a new one with a quick disconnect for the glow plug wire.

You have to be able to get to the motor because the ground wire is anchored to the motor base.

Ha yea I almost had to do that last night. BUt instead just replaced my red wire with the little glow plug wire tool. Saved me about a hr or so and alot of frustration.

glow ignitor is the ONLY way to go, keep a few bats charged ALL the time. take the blue wire and the yellow wire off, cause if you dont need the blue wire you dont need the yellow wire.

... I never imagined such a simple thing like splicing two wires could be made to sound so complicated and difficult!

    1.) cut
    2.) splice
    3.) done
