    Question Traxxas or Spektrum

hey guys well im new here, sorta I had a xl5 stampede but sold it and now Im going to purchase a nitro sport in a few weeks. Anyways my plan is to buy the sport and upgrade the radio system to 2.4ghz. Ive been doing some research and seen that people are having some problems with the new traxxas 2.4ghz TXs. So I saw a Spektrum thats coming out soon and looks interesting. They are both around the same price. Right now I am on the fence and cant decide which to buy. Can yall help out a stuck fella? Which one is the one I should get? Thanks

I am a bit biased, but I like the Traxxas 2.4 LINK. It can handle up to 20 receivers. And that part works great, IMHO, I have 5 vehicles and all it takes is a new 2218 receiver and you are good to go. Not sure if the Spektrum will do that. However I have not heard much bad about the Spektrum.

I would stay clear of Spektrum if it was me. I had one a couple years ago and had nothing but problems (DX3.0...horrible range, unbinding, etc). I have since changed over to Futaba and couldn't be happier. They also have a radio in that $100 range, too. I would not cheap out on a radio...save up a bit if you have to. Also, get a computerized radio that you can set epas, ect. Just my $0.02.

Also try to get some different transmitters in your hands to see if you like the feel. I can't stand the Traxxas transmitter. Super uncomfortable, IMO. At the moment I use a KO Propo radio.
