    Possible remote control problem.....

Long story short, the remote control took a spill Sunday, spilt the batteries every where, lost a couple battery springs, and broke the antenna. I put new batteries in it, robbed some battery springs from another remote, and borrowed my e-maxx remote control antenna. I put it all back together and it appeared to work.

    Problem:
I noticed a small problem, yet a problem non the less! I went to lock the front only, NADA! Yet when I went to lock both, it locked both just fine with no hesitation. I took the body off of the summit and looked as I went through all of the shifting, and noticed when I go to lock the front only it does nothing (no sounds, no partial moves, nothing). I took the r/c apart and looked inside to see if it was damaged from the fall, and everything look good except for piece of plastic that helps guide the antenna down in it (no biggie). I didn't notice any lose wires, any lose internal parts, and the stuff that is mounted to the locker switch looked good.

What should I take a second look at that maybe I over looked? Like I said, it's a livable problem, but it would be nice to keep the r/c car working like new!

Try to wiggle the three pos. switch in the front lock position.
Has it failed? Next short the cables if you can see them inside ie take a piece of wire and make sure it's electrical contact instead of relying on the switch.

Try adjusting the ch4 trim on the back of the radio. I'll bet it got bumped or knocked off calibration when you dropped it (IIRC it's the one to the right of the charge input jack).

Adjusting the trim changes the points at which the front locker servo engages, and then finally both locker servos.

Thanks for the tips guys! I will look at that tonight when I get home from work! I am going to South Padre Island this weekend, and it is going with me! I can't wait to drive it up the dunes!
