Yo can any .21 fit in the 4 tec if so what ones? cna any of yall help me please! Thanks Edward!
a .21 will not fit in the 4 tec without alot of modifications, drilling the chassis and stuff like that, you wouldnt benefit from this in top speed unless you changed the gear ratio. in dec. issue of rc car nitro they have an rs4 i think that has a .21 in it,if you read that youll see some of the modifications they had to do, but yes with right gears 100+ mph= go for it!!
yea if you really have the money, time, and sources for looking for the parts, even the guys at nitro rc mag had probs with finding the right gears. and even when they did find it, the project came close to $10,000!!!
Like they said, you could stick a .21 engine in a 4-Tec but it would require nuemerous costly modifications. Also, if you did end up puting a .21 engine in a 4-Tec it would negitivly affect the handling because of the added weight and horsepower. I don't think its worth it.
I heard a story of a guy who put a .21 in a 1/10 scale car, and it shreed the gears when it went into 2nd. So if you geared it like 3:1, you could get it over 100mph, but i dont think its worth it.
