    Guys,

Here are some pics of the tow hitch for the Summit which i made up. The trailer frame is made of 12mm Alloy box tube. The axles are 25mm box tube. The suspension is 20mm x 25mm angle. The draw bar is 12mm x 12mm angle. The tow ball & neck is a Baja 5B steering rod end. The rims & tyres are Blast wheels with Phaltline tyres. The trailer hubs are off a 1/8 buggy.

Here are some pics of it with the boat on the back & how the boat will be retained. I have now got to shape the poly block a bit to get a neater fit.

Thanks for the words of encouragement. I have built the trailer so that when the poly block comes off i can carry a 1/10th scale on road on it as well.

I was going to use a smaller rim & tyres on the trailer but where i will be using it the small tyres would get stuck & make the trailer drag its belly.

This is how i am going to stop the boat from coming off the trailer when it is being towed. I am going to stick this in a couple of strips on the polyblock. I picked it up for $1 at the local cheap shop.

Bear in mind this is a test to see if the idea i had would work.So this is a ruff build with minimal parts and expense .No where near the quality of your build. If i get it to work right i'll do it out off metal.I threw it together for a camping trip, you'll see what i needed it for It does have getto suspension however.

Nice. Simple is better more often than not. What are you useing for wheel bearings? Is that fresh water that you are in? I have only got salt water near me so i am not too keen to get the Summit wet.

When i switched to the cheyenne beadlocks.I had to change hubs to 23mm.I had a chunk of 5/16 redi rod, drilled out my 17 mm hubs slightly slid the rod threw used two nuts locked together on the inside one on the outside with locktite. And yes its fresh water, it's a lake i go camping at.The red one is my buddies with the boat, plane, hovercraft

The cooler is a big bobber. It floats so you can float your beverage of choice in the water towing it behind you. For the record it's Kokanee Glacier beer.

And a camp picture with the summit of course

Very nice. How many cans can it hold?

I did a bit more work to my trailer today. I fitted a pair of safety chains to the front & some mud guards. I am aiming to fit some led's to it tomorrow. I will post pics in a couple of days with the guards & led's on it.

I can get 6 in there with ice .I've been studying your hitch design.Thats where i have been having issues.Trying to get it strong enough for off road which is what i was making the trailer for.I had the suspension on the front links at first but it would compress the springs, then hang up.so i switched it to the back links. The fronts act as skids to get it up and over obstacles.Getting it to pivot is the trick .I have to find or build a pintal hitch system.Lights and safety chains nice I sub'd this thread so i can keep up with the technology. And so i can borrow your ideas Keep up the good work

The way that i have designed the hitch it is a skid plate cover which picks up the bottom 4 bolts & the top plate is using the bolts which hold the bumper on. I had to trim a small amount off the bumper mount to get my plate to fit in. With this design i pulled my Baja 5B with no issues. You can carry the car with it.

I finished off the lights today. Here are some pics with the lights & guards on. I have to shorten up the power cable a bit. Just after i took the pics I worked out why the Summits lhs lights weren't working.

    Start building.

How nice would it be for Traxxas to make their own trailer & hitch for the Summit. Then they could sell the Titan & Summit as a total package.
