The picture distorts the colors a bit, but it's a true black and white. The black looks really weak in the rear.

I would stay away from soft compound tires, I would do some thing along the lines of the stock 4x4 tires, I just put a set of new 1/8 scale AKA cross brace in (green) compound cuz that what i run on my 2wd vxl and they were gone in about 1hr 45min of bashing at the park!

my park it a mixture of baseball fields, grassy fields, asfalt jogging track, heavily wooded area , and nature/bike trails, we have a blast and have to carry a few batteries with us,

thats just to give you an idea of were we go play and any soft compound tires will not last, I have to put something on out trucks that have decent meat on them....

but if your racing on a track that is packed down then maybe some AKA's would work for you!

When my son and I use the 4x4 on the hard terrain tracks or a track thats pretty pack down then we get no traction and spin alot!

So its gunna differ, I say just play around with different tires and compound..

i think a stock tire/wheel or maybe something a little bigger (taller) then stock would look good, specially if it is just a "bash around" body.

yes those tires are 2.2 and here are the rims you need to make them work, with no modding.

i dont think there will be a problem, as long as you get the narrow wheels. the "wide wheel base" rims wont work.

^^^ i was wrong, it is the wide offset wheels you need not the narrow.

    check this out,

    http://monster.traxxas.com/showthrea...501441&page=18

if you scroll down there are a couple of trucks with these 2.2 WIDE WHEEL BASE rpm wheels on them.
