    Post Apocalyptic Slash 4x4

My stock shell was nearing the end of it's life so I gave it a new lease of life & converted it to a "Mad Max" style off-roader!!!

That is freakin cool man! I hope you don't mind me using that theme. I never thought of that. Right now I have a little duct tape holding part of the stock body together. I have some of that wire grid in my garage. I know what I'm doing tomorrow!

That's right it used to be a "Mad" Mark Jenkins #25, until the thermonuclear war that is, lol!

Butterfly netting, drybrushed with silver & yellow gold to weather it was used for the windscreen / bonnet mesh! I used plastic windbreak weathered in the same way!

    Great job so far!

Are you planning on stripping the chrome on those body pins and getting a nice thin layer of oxidation on them? Or maybe just hit the pins with a quick coat of matte black paint. I guess it's fair to say that we are supposed to ignore body pins anyway, they aren't normally part of a "theme," just a necessity. I'd still fix'm myself.

Keep us posted if you tack on any other bits of post-apocalyptic treasure. Some RPM light canisters might also work well, several mad max vehicles had bolt on lightbars and stuff.

Of course it's at least mildly sacrilegious to go around buying parts to build a "scavenged" vehicle... good excuse to keep running it the way it is now!

It's not finished yet, I may add some other bit's to the body yet, as I want some good action shots of it going flat-out down a dusty road & I've even been thinking of some pictures of the slash going through some burnt out car wrecks or maybe even a still burning oil-slick (that's if I'm daring enough, lol!)

Connor - That is such a wicked bad idea. Props to you man. Hope you don't mind but I am totally copying your idea as soon as i get my new body. Thats a great way to get a little more life out of the stock body which is total garbage. Why are they so flimsy?

    Edited for language abuse.
